Aivovuoto

Aivovuoto is a rap group from East Helsinki, founded in 2012, that has released six critically acclaimed records: Aivovuoto, the Vihaa karkkia EP, the split Se tuli televisiosta / Sushi Drive-by with Khidi, Dötöx, the Utopia sessiot EP, and most recently Liikkeellä in spring 2020. The group’s latest singles, Ayo party and Parvi, were released in February and March 2024 and serve as a preview of their upcoming album SEITSEMAN, which will be followed by an album release tour starting at the end of March.

The group consists of producer brothers Mio and Visa a.k.a. K.V.N & LOBO (known for SMC Lähiörotat and instrumental albums), and rapper Matti a.k.a. Jodarok (associated with Kemmuru, Freerap, and Meiän Musiikki label).

Aivovuoto operates as a session-style band—their music is created in their own Studio TÖI. Typically, the brothers first create the instrumental, after which Matti writes the song, and the track is usually recorded immediately. Stream-of-consciousness. Spontaneity. Aivovuoto captured on tape.

The group is also known for their unconventional videos, many of which they produce, write, and sometimes edit themselves. The videos expand the worlds of the songs. They have also produced videos for other artists under the name Aivotuotos.
