Ville Veikka is a new-generation singer-songwriter who released his debut album Lopulta in spring 2025. Selected for YleX’s Breakthrough list in 2023, Ville Veikka is known for his powerful, emotionally resonant lyrics and deeply affecting vocal performances.

He previously released the EPs Tästä alkaa tulevaisuus (2022) and Poika (2023). Singles from the latter, including “Poltetaan tää maa feat. Ellis” and “100 asiaa,” reached Spotify Finland’s Top 50 and helped propel him onto live stages. In addition to his own shows, Ville Veikka has performed as a support act for artists such as Kuuma and Antti Autio.

Ville Veikka’s music combines international indie and folk influences with the Finnish singer-songwriter tradition. His upcoming album aims to further immerse listeners in his own musical world:

“Making an album has always been one of my biggest dreams. As a whole, it will be quite narrative and, hopefully, in some way magical. I want the record to bring a lot of light and hope.

I write songs out of love for making music and always try to capture that feeling of excitement I experienced as a child when I first fell in love with music and playing instruments.

I hope my music can convey genuine emotions, relatable stories, and in some way renew or continue the Finnish singer-songwriter tradition,” Ville Veikka summarizes.
