Sexmane

One of Finland’s most popular artists, Sexmane, will release his new album Sanansaattaja (The Messenger) on November 15. Known for his explosive live shows, the artist will embark on an album release tour in spring 2025. The tour kicks off in February at Sibeliustalo in Lahti and culminates in May at Olvi Arena in Kuopio. Tickets go on sale Monday, November 18 at 9:00 AM.

Sexmane, real name Max Sene, has established himself as one of Finland’s most-streamed artists. The rapper, who grew up in the village of Siilinjärvi, has had as many as 18 songs simultaneously on Finland’s Spotify Top 50, and he repeatedly sells out venues on his phenomenon-level live tours. His previous album tour ended this spring with a sold-out show at Helsinki Ice Hall. The final concert showcased Sexmane’s unique charisma, explosive energy, and captivating live presence—earning praise from both critics and fans.

On the concept album Sanansaattaja, listeners will hear a deeper and more sensitive side of the artist. The songs touch on topics such as mental health, religion, and cancel culture. Sanansaattaja is not a hero, but a messenger whose words carry weight and are listened to. The album’s title track is a narrative and profound reflection on the artist’s life and pressures. Despite his success, Sexmane prefers to be a messenger rather than a hero:

“I’m a messenger, not a hero—the voice is the strongest of all weapons.”

The 18-track album features singles that have already climbed to the top of Spotify charts this year, including Hulluus saa mut huutamaan (“Madness Makes Me Scream”), Riittämätön ft. Tomi Saario (“Insufficient”), and Mania, which reached the finals of the UMK (Finland’s Eurovision selection).

Winner of the Artist of the Year Emma Award by a landslide last year, Sexmane’s previous album Sextape II was released in January 2023. Already double platinum, the album debuted as the 5th most-streamed new album worldwideon Spotify during its release week.
